Olaf Metzel's exhibition "Ich kann's nicht mehr hören" (I can’t hear it anymore) consists of 50 editions, published by galleries, art associations, museums, biennials, or by the artist himself from 1985 to 2022.

On display are, among others, “Bondstore Lockers,” created from an installation on the occasion of the Biennale Sydney 1990, or “Besiktas Jimnastik Külübü,” realized in collaboration with Christoph Daum during the Biennale Istanbul 1995.

The artist used bronze, concrete, aluminum, wood, metal, wax, and plastic for the sculptures, whereas the reproductions were produced as etching, silkscreen, and photography.

Olaf Metzel was born in Berlin in 1952. He taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, where he was rector from 1995 to 1999. Works of the award-winning artist, who has had numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad, are in major international museums and collections, as well as in public spaces. He curates exhibitions, publishes articles in magazines and newspapers, and is the editor of numerous publications. He lives in Munich, Berlin and Marche in Italy.
