Jan-Ole Schiemann is a German painter known for his dynamic and intricate abstract works that blend elements of drawing and painting into large format canvases. Schiemann's works are characterized by its energetic lines, vibrant colors, and layered compositions, which often evoke a sense of playful complexity and rhythmic movement. His works explore themes of memory, perception, and the subconscious, drawing inspiration from sources such as comic strips, surrealism, and modernist abstraction. 

 

Jan-Ole Schiemann, born in 1983 in Kiel, studied at the Kunsthochschule Kassel and the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. He lives and works in Cologne.
