In his exhibition at the Modern Gallery, Gregor Hildebrandt (*1974 in Bad Homburg, grew up in Sulzbach/Saar) transforms the ground floor of the third pavilion into a surprising cosmos of analogue data carriers. The artist will use over a thousand records to create metre-high walls. In addition to his sculptural installations, he has become particularly well known for his use of cassette tapes, which he meticulously glues onto canvases. The tapes contain songs by his favourite musicians - from Jacques Brel to The Cure and Tocotronic. Hildebrandt's works invite the viewer to relive the sounds of the songs and the memories associated with them in their minds.
