Gerold Miller | Superficie y Presencia

Museo de arte contemporáneo de Buenos Aires
13 August - 3 November 2026, 13 August 2026

We are proud to announce Gerold Miller’s exhibition at the legendary MACBA Buenos Aires.

The exhibition presents recent works from across Miller’s major series, highlighting his ongoing investigation into geometric abstraction. The artist’s approach echoes MACBA’s curatorial vision, which understands minimalist abstraction as a dynamic and evolving visual language, rather than as a closed historical movement.

Rooted in Argentina’s rich tradition of geometric abstraction while expanding its dialogue with international artistic positions, the exhibition brings together Miller’s distinctive exploration of form, color and space.

Renowned for his minimalist practice, Miller challenges the boundaries between painting and sculpture through his iconic wall objects crafted in lacquered aluminum and stainless steel. Through radical monochrome and precise geometric structures, these works transform the image into a spatial experience, inviting a renewed engagement with the possibilities of visual perception.
