Overview

Thomas Grünfeld is a German sculptor renowned for his provocative and imaginative works that often blend elements of surrealism with a keen exploration of the human psyche. His sculptures challenge traditional notions of form and identity, frequently merging different species in fantastical hybrid creatures that evoke both curiosity and unease.

Thomas Grünfeld was born in 1956 in Leverkusen (DE). He is a Professor for Sculpture at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and lives in Cologne.
