Thomas Grünfeld b. 1956

Thomas Grünfeld (b. 1956, Leverkusen, Germany, lives and works in Cologne, Germany) is a Professor for Sculpture at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. He is a sculptor renowned for his provocative and imaginative works that blend elements of surrealism while keenly exploring the human psyche. Grünfeld's sculptures challenge traditional notions of form and identity, frequently merging different species in fantastical hybrid creatures that evoke both curiosity and unease.
